29 Restaurants awarded as Michelin stars including one Indian Restaurant

During the inaugural Singapore Michelin Guide, 29 restaurants have been awarded as Michelin stars which also includes those restaurants that are having a low profile.

ST_20151201_VNMICH2_1879142Restaurants such as Fujian restaurant ‘Putien’ in Kitchener Road, modern Indian restaurant ‘The Song Of India’ in Scotts Road, French fine-dining restaurant ‘Rhubarb Le Restaurant’ in Duxton Hill and Crystal Jade Garden Palace at Paragon Shopping Centre each was rewarded with one star.

According to executive sous chef Chen Guang Lin, of Putein, this was an unexpected surprise. Mr Manjunath Mural, director of cuisine of ‘The Song Of India’, said getting a star is “a dream come true and one of my proudest wins in the past 10 years.”

Chef Sebastian Lepinoy, from Les Amis at Shaw Centre, who received two stars, targets to bag three stars next year.
