IIHM Bangalore has been gearing up to welcome the participants and the spectators and the enthusiasm for the same is visible everywhere. Our previous experiences having organized the Bangalore leg of the second and third editions of YCO has made us prep even better and this time we look forward to the participants of the 10 countries we will be hosting this year with more fervor. All IIHM events have a learning motive behind them and YCO being the biggest gives our students a global exposure. I don’t think any hotel management college gives this opportunity where students can interact and observe the working styles of their international counterparts. This in turn gives my students immense confidence in their growth as a hotelier”.

“Only food can bring 50 nations together harmoniously, it’s the most spoken language in the world and this our fourth edition of IIHM Young Chef Olympiad will have some of the best Culinary institutes in the world fighting it out on a level playing field once again for the title and this year we also have an incredible team or guest and star judges from across the globe. The opening ceremony and press conference will take place at Talkatora stadium in Delhi then the opening heat of the competition will be held in Delhi, Pune and Bangalore over the following two days with the second heat and the final in Kolkata, where all numbers will be equated form round 1 and 2 to see the top 10 in the final. We have a Chef speak in each city where local chefs will be invited to socialise with participants and mentors and listen to the personal stories and academic discussions by the judges. The competition will conclude in Kolkata with an incredible evening where 50 nations will be cooking their national dishes under one roof on the 31st in Kolkata and the finals and closing ceremony on the 2nd Feb. We have an incredible competition this year which will test not only each participants cooking skills but their methods of work, kitchen knowledge, knife stills, confidence, adherence to recipe and creativity and of course taste texture and flavour of their food”, said Chef Shaun Kenworthy, Culinary Director IIHM.

The previous three editions of YCO got tremendous positive response from the international hospitality community, making the event the most-anticipated contest across the world.
