Apparently, filmmaker Karan Johar had offered Khanna a role in one of his productions, which the ace chef turned down, citing that culinary arts will remain his priority.

In 2006, Khanna appeared on Gordon Ramsay’s show Kitchen Nightmares. In an interview with the leading Indian daily Hindustan Times, he said, “The moment Ramsay met me, he said, you should be doing two things – work in Hollywood movies and be on TV.”
