Sheraton Grand Pune hosted the Pune edition of Marriott’s wedding property #ShaadiByMarriott

Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel unveiled the bespoke wedding extravaganza – Shaadi by Marriott, Pune edition on 14th November 2019. #ShaadibyMarriott is the signature wedding property which strives to bring your rose-tinted wedding dreams to e to reality with the help of its wedding experts. The majestic soirée witnessed celebrities, top wedding planners, stylists and the leading specialists of the Indian wedding industry. It concluded with a stunning fashion show attended by the city’s glitterati.  

“Be it a grand seasonal Indian wedding or a quaint intimate affair, our in-house wedding specialists shall craft memorable experiences for you and your guests,” said Mr. Rishi Chopra, General Manager of Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel while addressing the guests. 

The event began with a ‘Shaadi by Marriott’ gala afternoon which featured wedding setup and décor, bridal make-up session and Indian wedding lunch in Sajan-kot style. Ten Marriott properties from Pune showcased their wedding offerings to guests. The entire hotel was decked up in wedding décor by our partners, Bandhan, Forever Weddings and Deluxe Decorators giving it a feel of an actual wedding. This was followed by an enthralling evening of mesmerizing dance sequences along with champagne and canapes. The grand finale of the evening was an exclusive fashion show, featuring the most splendid bridal ensembles by ace couturier Manish Malhotra. 

The designer’s collection MAAHRUMYSHA romanced the winter mood and was crafted, breaking away from the traditional warmer hues of classic red. Manish Malhotra brought a fresh palette to occasion-wear in the classic chromes of white, ivory, beige, ochre, grey, salmon and the signature gold of the label, which exuded the young and new-age vibe. 

Speaking about the collection, designer Manish Malhotra says, “I’ve refreshed the wedding palette in a more millennial and modern way. One can expect our star-wattage appeal from this showcase. We have done a lot of Kashmiri hand-embroidery and the intricate threadwork. The whole collection is done in muted and vintage tones which makes it modern and glamorous, yet timeless.”

He further added, “This show was special as we have paired our own jewellery with our garments with our newly launched jewellery line which has a beautiful mix of Polki jewellery and uncut stones in bangles, chokers, earrings, multi-tiered necklaces and many more.”

Bollywood’s rising star, Pooja Hegde sashayed the ramp for Manish Malhotra that added to the star power to this ultra-glamorous event.

Lastly, no Indian wedding is complete without copious amounts of delicious food. The event concluded with a spectacular buffet featuring a variety of Indian and international cuisines. The hotel displayed it culinary expertise with an assortment of almost fifty desserts.
