A good service is as essential in hospitality as it is in tennis and Le Club AccorHotels managed to bring these two worlds together during the Rolex Paris Masters. How? By giving members of the loyalty program the chance to meet Alexander Zverev, 5th world player at the ATP (Association of Tennis professionals) as part of its Elites Experiences.
The Rolex Paris Masters captivated 140,000 spectators at AccorHotels Arena (Paris) from 27 October to 4 November. During the 9 day event the 50 best world players played against each other in the last ATP Masters 1000 of the season. In two sets – 7/5 and 6/4 – the verdict fell. The Russian player Karen Khachanov won the tournament after playing in the final against Novak Djokovic.
Our Le Club AccorHotels loyalty program seized the opportunity to organize an exceptional Elite Experience: a private question and answer session between tennis fan members and one of the most promising players of his generation, Alexander Zverev.
On October, 29th a lively discussion led by the French tennis player Tatiana Golovin took place at the Pullman Paris. From personal questions on the champion’s everyday life, his love of travel and hospitality to more specialized questions about tennis and his preparation times, the participants were not short of inspiration.
Did he prefer to be called Alexander or Sacha? “Sacha, because we are amongst friends” replied Alexander Zverev. What is important for him at the hotel? “The late check out – because it gives me all the flexibility I need during tournaments – and a good pillow to get my strength back!” His favourite surface: “clay”. His least favourite opponent and his favourite? “My brother, I detest playing against my brother because he makes fun of me if I’m unlucky enough to lose”. In contrast, his favourite opponent remains Roger Federer. “3 victories and 3 defeats but it is always a pleasure”.
The encounter ended with a photo and autograph session with the star. The words used to describe this Elite Experience by Le Club AccorHotels members were “closeness, authentic, incredible”.
A stunning view from the Welcome Fans terrace
Welcome Fans was also at the Rolex Paris Masters! During the first 3 days of the tournament, 8 participants in the online 2D game “Court Toujours” were chosen at random to take part in the event in conditions that bordered on the idyllic!
As a reward for the fastest players, the first 8 in the game’s ranking won a day at the Welcome Fans Terrace to watch the final stages of the tournament! A view of the Central Court that Alexander Zverev would not have missed for the world.
