ASI monuments reopening from 6th July

Shri. Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Tourism and Culture Minister, has announced that the ASI monuments will be re-opened from the 6th July 2020 for travellers and visitors. Prahlad Singh Patel in his recent tweet mentioned: ” I have taken a decision along with the ministry of culture and the ASI to open all monuments from July 6.” However, this will be done with the compliance of the state and district administration.”
The country is in the unlock phase 2.0, in which huge relaxations have been given to all the industries. Earlier to this Tourism ministry had given green signal to the reopening of 820 monuments.

Due to Corona outbreak centrally-protected monuments and archaeological sites maintained by the ASI were shut from March 17.Mr.Patel has assured that the all coronavirus-related protocols issued by the Union Health Ministry would be followed by the monument authorities.
