Coronavirus Pandemic: Prominent Indian Tourist and Religious Places shut down

The whole world is facing the deadly effects of novel coronavirus and now it’s time for Indian religious as well as tourist places to face. The Central Government of India, as a preventive measure to avoid the spread of the virus, has now announced the closure of prominent religious places and tourist places of the country. Indian famous public monuments and museums like as the Taj Mahal, Agra and Red Fort, Delhi will now be kept closed till 31st March 2020. 

Union Tourism Minister of India, Prahlad Singh Patel, said: “All ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) monuments and central museums will be shut down till 31st March 2020 in view of the spread of deadly coronavirus. We’re taking this very seriously.” Around 3700 monuments and sites are under the ASI are shut down to avoid the spread of coronavirus in the country. Most schools and entertainment facilities including cinema halls have been closed across the country.

Besides this, some prominent religious and attractions in our country will remain shut down till further notice, in view of the ongoing crisis posed by the deadly novel Coronavirus. Here’s a look at such spots:
