Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri appoints Hotel Manager – Mr. Rohit Bajpai

Rohit Bajpai has been appointed as the Hotel Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri, the first Marriott Property of the  North – East. Rohit has been a General Manager with International & Domestic brands like Hilton, Radisson & Royal Orchid.

Over the years he has gained invaluable F&B expertise through a variety of luxury brands like ITC Hotels & Shangri-la, operating renowned outlets like Dum Pukht, Bukhara & Peshawri.

His intrinsic trait to pay attention to detail and make critical judgments has undoubtedly led to the services and facilities for the properties being top – notch in all aspects.

In his current role, Rohit will be overseeing all aspects of operational and strategic management of the 17th‘Courtyard by Marriott’ branded property to open in South Asia and the first in the east of India outside of Kolkata.

Located in thefoothills of the Himalayas and in the vicinity of widely popular tourist locations such as Darjeeling, Gangtok and Doars, ‘Courtyard by Marriott, Siliguri’ comes with an inventory of 130 fully equipped guest rooms. In all areas of the hotel, be it the products, people or processes, he has a personally looked into the minutest fine points, thus aiming to make the property a shining star for all that the Marriott brand embodies.

Rohit is competent and result-driven hotelier carrying over 20 years of functional managerial experience with a strong F&B knowledge being the backbone of his career. Through outgoing leadership, innovative staff management, honest handling in the development of friendly and respectful relationships, Rohit has displayed commendable performance and racked up an impressive track record. Being an operations person and having grown through the ranks , his prime credo has always been guest satisfaction of the highest possible degree with effective sales force administration, and using initiative to efficiently solve any problems at hand and achieve goals set by the brand.

This motto has been a constant across the properties he has been at – ITC Hotels in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, Shangri La in New Delhi and Hilton and Radisson hotels in Goa & New Delhi. Rohit has also been a part of Pre opening and Brand Conversion of three opening hotels in a variety of roles viz. Pre – Opening General Manager, Pre – Opening Hotel Manager & Pre – Opening Restaurant Manager.

Rohit, an alumnus of IHM Mumbai, is true to his name; He has a reservoir inspired wisdom combined with inherited analytical ability. He leads his team by example, and his expressions of spiritual leadership, business analysis, innovative marketing, artistic vision and scientific research based solutions has truly inspired his peers.
