Donald Trump in India: Delhi hotel suite POTUS to be in costs Rs 8 lakh a night

Preparations are on in full swing to welcome Donald Trump to India as the US President and First Lady Melania Trump will land in Ahmedabad at around 12pm today and will subsequently visit Agra. After touring the Taj Mahal, Trump will head to Delhi with his wife and the Grand Presidential Suite in which they will stay costs Rs 8 lakh per night.

The Grand Presidential Suite or the Chanakya Suite of the ITC Maurya on Sardar Patel Marg in Delhi has been decked up all over again for POTUS or President Donald Trump. Located on the fourteenth floor, this particular suite represents an Indian global theme and in fact, is acclaimed for the grandeur of its structure that is equivalent to an extravagant apartment.

With silk panelled walls, wooden flooring and stunning artwork, the Grand Presidential Suite also comprises an elaborate living room, a peacock themed 12-seater private dining room, a luxurious restroom apart from a reception area, mini spa and gym.

As far as the menu is concerned, lavish arrangements have been made. The suite has been stocked with Trump’s favourite items – Diet Coke and Cherry Vanilla ice-cream. A private chef has been assigned to Trump and his wife, who will cook up a spread of their choice.

Trump is the fourth US President to stay at the ITC Maurya’s Grand Presidential Suite after Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Trump and Melania will be accompanied by his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kusher on their trip to India. The couple will also stay at ITC Maurya.

Donald Trump and his family will be in India for two days. POTUS and Melania will spend the first day of their visit in Ahmedabad and Agra before heading to Delhi for the official reception and bilateral talks.
