Rustling up a storm in the kitchen for over two decades now, Arabinda Seth is currently employed as the Executive Chef at Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata. By dint of his exclusive creativity and experience with top hospitality brands, this master chef has become an indispensable asset to the industry for his inventive take on modern soul food, as well as comfort classics.

Using his refined culinary repertoire and nifty managerial skills, Arabinda has brought to the table dynamic and innovative energy to the diverse food options offered at Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata. Leading the kitchen management team vis-à-vis daily operations, he is also responsible for ensuring quality standards in compliance to food and beverage policies, planning and pricing menus, innovative food presentation and working in tandem with the catering department.

An avid learner and eternally passionate about the culinary industry, Arabinda’s career has been on an upswing, owing to his exposure to top-of-the-line hospitality brands. Before his present job, he has successfully managed to please the palates of the most exclusive clientele through his role as Executive Sous Chef at JW Marriott Kolkata and in a similar designation at Hyatt Regency Kolkata. Working for Taj Ganges Varanasi at the beginning of his career, followed by a long stint at Hyatt Regency Kolkata, where he joined as Commi Chef in 2002 allowed this master chef to develop his own creativity in the culinary arts and move up the ladder by extending his skill-set to all aspects of the industry.

The self-motivated chef has been recognized with several distinctions for his cutting-edge cooking style and consistent performances in crafting unique experiences for guests. He has been credited with spearheading the prestigious ‘Indian Food Promotion’ at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and at Hyatt Regency Kuantan in Malaysia. He has undertaken exposure training from Taj Palace Hotel New Delhi for specialization in Tandoor dishes.

Outside the kitchen, Arabinda is social, fun-loving and a big foodie himself. His hobbies include travelling with his family to explore different varieties of food and culture. A fitness enthusiast, he also dabbles in research for new preparations and presentations of culinary delights.
