Social Kitchen, Holiday Inn Kolkata Airport organizes Chinese Food Festival

hhhhSocial Kitchen, the all-day dining outlet at Kolkata’s newest 5-star property, Holiday Inn Kolkata Airport is hosting Flavours Of The East – a Chinese food festival. Chef Lee Tuck Seng, the Expat Chef from the House Of Han, Crowne Plaza Jaipur along with culinary experts at Social Kitchen has created signature dishes that will be on offer at this festival.

kk“Food connoisseurs of Kolkata can discover the culinary heritage of the Chinese cuisine and explore the myriad flavors of the cuisine as found in different regions of China like Sichuan, Hunan, Cantonese & others at the festival.

The festival will offer bold aromas, subtle flavours and authentic Chinese delicacies prepared by our expat Chef Lee as we get fewer opportunities to try out authentic Chinese cuisine in the city. “said Mr. Kenneth Scott, General Manager, Holiday Inn Kolkata Airport.

The wide spread buffet has been well crafted with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies. The vegetarian spread consists of Tofu & Water Chestnut In Chilli Bean Sauce, Sichuan Pepper Flavoured Vegetables In Dry Chilly, Water Chestnut, Asparagus And French Beans In Yellow Bean Sauce, Silken Tofu Hunan Style And Chili Garlic Tofu Shaolin Monk Vegetable Pot. The non-vegetarian items include Singaporean Bar B Que Chicken, Yueng Dang Spicy Lamb, Steam Baby Bekti With Ginger Spring Onion, Lao Gama Chicken, Crispy Lamb Chilli Garlic Sauce, Steam Fish Lemon Coriander Sauce, Mar Lar Chicken, Slice Lamb Shu Zhu And Xiang La Fish. Accompaniments with these dishes include Dan Dan Noodles, Xo Fried Rice, Wok Fried Red Pepper Noodles, Ho Fun Noodle And Hunan Fried Rice.

A-la-Carte dishes of Chef Lee’s signature creations will also be available on request. Some of the signature dishes are Lobster with Chilly Oyster Sauce (Rs1800/-), Wok Fried Scallops with Chilies (Rs 1600/-), Singaporean Chilly Prawns (Rs 1200/-), Cantonese Honey Roasted Pork (Rs 875/-) & Peking Duck (Rs 2000/-).
