Foodhall India is celebrating the flavours of Korea all month long with their ‘Seoul Food February’ festival. Here, they are showcasing and celebrating Korean dishes and ingredients, all through the month. With Korean cuisine being touted as a big food trend in 2020, the time is right to enjoy this flavoursome, piquant cuisine.

Foodhall has set up multiple experience zones across their stores where customers can sample various ingredients and dishes.

Shoppers can sample Gochujang, the Korean version of hot sauce, and its derivatives like Gochujang mayonnaise and a Spicy Radish salad with Gochujang. Foodhall is also offering dishes like Gochajang Hummus with crackers at their Snack Library counter, for guests to sample and purchase.

The demo counter at all Foodhall stores is serving Bibimbap, a Korean version of the popular Buddha bowl. This healthy bowl of rice, mixed with raw and cooked elements such as vegetables (lotus root, radish, sautéed mushrooms, sweet potatoes, leek fritters) and meat (pork, fish, shellfish), is brought together by the smoky and spicy Gochujang sauce and will appeal to all palates.

Along with this, Demo counters are also be serving Korea’s national dish, Tongba Chu Kimchi, a classic, spicy napa cabbage kimchi. Customers can also sample and purchase Musaengchae, Korean spicy radish salad.

A variety of Korean salads are available for purchase such as Oi Muchim (spicy cucumber salad; Gaji Namul (Korean eggplant salad); Sukju Namul-Muchim (seasoned bean sprouts); and Sigeumchi Namul (wilted spinach salad).

Perfect to pair with spring rolls, dim sums, grills and more, Foodhall will be sampling Korean dips at the demo counter. Pick from house-made Gochujang, Spicy Bibimbap sauce, Gochujang mayonnaise and Ssamjang dipping sauce (made with Doenjang).

A celebration of Korean food is incomplete without including Korean BBQ. Foodhall has set up live grills for guests to sample spiced meats. Guests can purchase Korean spices at the BBQ station.

Meat lovers can also purchase DIY Korean Fried Chicken kits at the Meat counter to recreate the classic Korean snack in their kitchens.

The Koreans are well-known for their bakery products and this month, Foodhall is giving customers a taste of these popular Korean baked goods. Available at the Bakery Counter, guests can pick from Kimchi Croissant (Kimchi stuffed into French pastry); Dan Pat Bbang (red bean buns); Sausage Ppang (Chicken sausages wrapped in milky bread) Milk Bread (sliced soft milk bread prepacked to be sold from the bakery); and more.
