Gokulam Grand Hotel and Spa Wins Best Business Hotel at IITM Awards 2019

Home-grown hospitality brand Gokulam Grand Hotel and Spa Bangalore, the first five-star property of Gokulam Group of Hotels wins the “Best Business Hotel” at IITM Awards 2019.

The star-studded event saw in attendance the best of hospitality, travel and tourism – across brands and corporates alike. ‘India International Travel Mart’ showcased a variety of destinations from different spheres such as pilgrimages, adventures, culture & heritage, beaches, hills and much more.

On receiving the award Akash Gupta, General Manager, Gokulam Grand Hotel & Spa Bangalore said “As our group’s first five-star property, we had envisioned and put a strategy in place to excel in all departments of the hotel. The property is less than two years old and being recognised by such an organisation is a huge encouragement. It enables us to keep raising the bar high for the brand. A year ago, we decided to step into one of the most competitive markets in the hospitality industry and it has been a great journey so far.”

The event had over 450 participants from 15 countries and 20 Indian states. The participants include Travel Agents & Tour Operators, DMC, Hotels & Resorts, National Tourist Organizations, Cruises, Airlines, Online Travel Portals etc.  The three-day event also showcased a glimpse from the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

Gokulam Grand Hotel and Spa began its operation in the year 2018. The 182 room and suites’ hotel boasts of well-known F&B outlets namely My Place All Day Dining, 24 hour coffee shop and Obsidian Sports and Music Bar. Pool, Sohum Spa and Aasman gym are its lifestyle facilities available for guests and patrons. With 25,000 sq ft of banqueting space, the hotel has one of the best MICE facilities in the city.

Gokulam Grand Hotel & Spa Bangalore until end 2017 was operational as Movenpick Hotel and Spa Bangalore Hotel, a 5 star hotel under the Swiss brand Movenpick Hotels and Resorts has now been bought over by a new management, Gokulam Hotels and Resorts.

The Gokulam Hotels and Resorts are owned by Sree Gokulam Chit & Finance Co. Pvt. Ltd. (SGCFL), the flagship company of the GOKULAM GROUP OF COMPANIES. Under their hospitality division, the company has properties across South India (Tamil Nadu and Kerala) under the brand name ‘Gokulam Park Hotels and Resorts’.

With the addition of the MSR Hotel and Spa Bangalore to their portfolio, the group aims to strengthen its presence in the Southern region further and establish their brand in Bangalore.
