Rayan Aranha, General Manager, Grand Mercure Bangalore

Rayan Aranha is the General Manager of AccorHotels’ Grand Mercure Bangalore. A seasoned hotelier, Rayan brings two decade of domain expertise in the hospitality industry.

In his leadership position, Rayan is responsible for spearheading operations at the property and ensuring its growth & expansion with innovative strategies. His strong team building skills, expert approach towards business development and a resilient background in hospitality, provides strategic and tactical depth to the hotel.

His journey with AccorHotels started in 2012, when he joined the group as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Grand Mercure Bangalore, swiftly progressing to the position of Executive Assistant Manager at the same hotel. After a brief task force assignment at Pullman & Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, he was transferred to ibis Mumbai Airport as Director of Operations before moving back to Grand Mercure Bangalore as General Manager in 2017. With an entrepreneurial background in hospitality, Rayan has previously worked with Taj Hotels, at their regional sales & marketing office in Bangalore.

A glowing testament of the AccorHotels’ International Hospitality Management Program (IHMP), Mr Aranha completed the 18-month collective program for potential General Managers and has been instrumental in building and maintaining a team at Grand Mercure Bangalore that is constantly striving to provide the best hospitality experience to its guests. A graduate of St Joseph’s College in Bangalore, Rayan has completed his postgraduate programs in management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.

Rayan has a strong passion for travelling and discovering unexplored destinations. He also enjoys listening to music in his leisure time
