HIGH Ultra Lounge appoints Chef Tenzin Namkha as Chef De Cuisine

Chef’s expertise in bringing some twist and fusion to food will take you to all new heights of gastronomic excellence

Chef Tenzin Namkha; our newest member of the family has been entrusted to manage the culinary operations at South India’s highest dining destination. In his role he will be responsible for overseeing the restaurant’s dining venues, catering and culinary events, as well as further enhancing the restaurant’s celebrated culinary offerings.

Chef Tenzin is a seasoned professional, known for crafting timeless culinary masterpieces for over 11 years. His sheer passion for food and love for cooking took him to some of the striking locations in the country that further flourished his culinary skill set.

Previously, Chef Tenzin started his career as Chef de commis with Leela Palace Hotel and Resort Bangalore and later on moved to Ista Hotel Pune and Hyderabad. He has extensively expanded his forte in Asian and Continental section in the kitchens of the hotels he has worked with. He has also worked with leading and acclaimed properties like Ananda in the Himalayas and Hyatt Hotel Ahmadabad where he was part of the pre-opening of their Oriental restaurant Nonya and took care of the menu planning and execution. Prior joining HIGH Ultra Lounge, he was working with Ritz Carlton Hotel Bangalore as their Sous Chef of The Lantern Restaurant and Bar taking over the entire operations of the restaurant.

He completed his hotel management education at Hotel and Hospitality Administration from Saptagiri College of Hotel Management, Mangalore University.

He takes great pleasure in movies and cooking shows. A man who loves to take to the waters at every given opportunity, his favourite hobbies include Volley Ball, Basket Ball and riding cycle.
