HRAWI’s 10th FoSTaC Conclave Concludes In Mumbai

Mumbai, July 24: The 10th Conclave of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India’s (HRAWI) Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) took place last week at the Waterstones Hotel in Mumbai. An FSSAI initiative, the FoSTaC programme is a series of training conducted in association with HRAWI for F&B establishments in the Western region. Forty participants were trained and certified in the latest programme and close to 700 hospitality professionals have been trained over the last one year.

The training sessions have been designed by the FSSAI for supervisory professionals to make them better versed with food safety regulations and hygiene practices that are followed universally.

About Hotel & Restaurant Association Western India (HRAWI)

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) is a 68 years old Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Western India. Its members include smaller Hotels up to 5-Star Deluxe categories. The bulk of its members like any growth economy are made up of budget hotels. With membership base spread across Western India, HRAWI covers Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa and the Union Territories of Daman, Diu & Silvassa, and is considered to be the voice of the Hotel Industry. The association is part of the national body of Federation of the Hotels & Restaurants Associations of India (FHRAI), located in New Delhi, which was originally founded in Mumbai in 1950 by the late Mr. J.R.D. Tata.
