International Women’s Day Event @ Dhansoo Cafe

Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a special event was organised at Dhansoo Cafe, Delhi to salute the womanhood and fighting spirit of females who are an inspiration to others in the society. The event “Miss Dhansoo” was organised to highlight the achievements and motivate other women guests to take a step further to fulfil their dreams. Panelist at Miss Dhansoo event included Dr. Bani Yadav, Shiana & Mitali Joshi from Atijeevan Foundation, Jinnie Gogia Chugh and Pratiksha Kukreti.

March 8th is celebrated as International Women’s Day around the world. It’s a day that honours the achievements of women and enlightens everyone about creating a gender-equal society. During the event, Vikrant Batra, Director, Dhansoo Cafe said “We are happy to organise such kind of event as we would like to salute to the spirit of women of substance who have stand strong against the odds of the society and for us they are “Miss Dhansoo”. The reason to curate such event is to make other women aware in society about their strengths and to motivate them to work for their better future.”

Dr. Bani Yadav, an Indian rally driver, motorsports promoter and social rights supporter & National Autocross Champion for 2019 and 2018 – Ladies shared, “I am 49 and believe that no age number can stop you to achieve your goals. I feel elated to be a part of this event where I shared my journey of choosing a career where we have all men”.

Shaina & Mitali Joshi from Atijeevan Foundation said, “We are privileged to be a part of Miss Dhansoo Event and feel proud to share about how Atijeevan Foundation has been working towards providing better lives to acid attack or burn survivors”. Shaina, who herself is an acid attack survivor shared I will not say that we are acid attack survivor but we are fighters.

“I started gyming and took power lifting as a career option when I was 36. I used to be bullied by various people in the industry and society for choosing this career but I was focussed that what I wanted to do and I can do it. I am happy that I have been invited by Vikrant Batra to share my journey and motivate more such women who dares to dream”, said Jinnie Gogia Chugh

The event was attended by many other women who are pursuing their dreams and doing something unique in their profession. The guest included Sneha Saika, Jyoti Singh, Shailja Tripathi, Deepa Kirodian, Ruchi Mittal, Gurleen Tikku, Neha Bahl, Radhika Mittal among others.
