Italian Cooking Demo Workshop at Indigo Deli

dddThe popular Mumbai Deli, Indigo Delicatessen, which opened its doors to Pune in November 2016, launched a series of cooking workshops with Chef Tushar Deshpande. Post an overwhelming response to the first 2 classes, he will be hosting another masterclass with a new theme this time, to ensure guests learn something new and different at every class. This time around – learn the nuances of Italian cooking with some easy breezy recipes showcased by Chef.

Start the workshop with a chilled welcome drink; learn a 3 course Italian meal beginning with a Roasted garlic, basil & parmesan Veloute with spinach & ricotta tortellini soup and classic Italian Panzanella salad. For course 2 drool over the Ravioli / fettuccini of wild mushrooms with caramelized onions, candied walnuts & sage butter for the vegetarians and Chicken cassoulet with roasted bell peppers, red beans & sausages for the meat lovers. The last and final course would be an Espresso Panna cotta with coffee soil and candied hazelnut and a classic Tiramisu. And at the end you can eat all that you learn!

The workshop will be held on Monday, 22nd May and priced at Rs.1500/- all-inclusive of taxes. Minimum number of registrations for each master class is 15 nos.

About Chef Tushar Deshpande

Chef Tushar has graduated from Le Cordon Bleu at London and has also trained under Michelin star chefs; 1 Michelin Star Chef David Escobar, at The Cassis Bistro under the umbrella of Marlon Abela Restaurant Corporation (MARC), London, 2 Michelin Star Chef Joel Antunes at Embassy Mayfair, 2 Michelin Star Chef Phil Howard at The Square, London and at Morton’s with 4 AA Rosette Chef Ivonic, also a restaurant of the MARC, London

This varied and in-depth experience has enabled him to fortify his classical French and contemporary European cooking techniques. He then moved to India to use his acquired skills & techniques at Indigo Deli, initially beginning with Indigo Deli, Colaba. Chef Tushar is now leading the Indigo Deli kitchen at its recently launched outpost in Pune.
