Magandeep Singh, India’s first French-qualified Sommelier conducted a masterclass with Lucaris – The Crystal of Modern Asia

May 19th 2018: Lucaris – The Crystal of Modern Asia hosted yet another insightful masterclass, conducted by India’s first French-qualified Sommelier Magandeep Singh who is also an award winning writer and a TV show host.

It was held on Thursday May 17th 2018 at the Roseate Hotel Aerocity, New Delhi. Special invites from the Hospitality industry were present in this masterclass as the ace Sommelier took them through the various crystal glasses from the Desire Collection which is Lucaris’ latest collection at the fore. It was fascinating to witness, how the different shapes and sizes of a crystal glass can completely bring about a change in the aroma and taste of the wine and indeed take the wine appreciation to another level.

The Lucaris Desire collection is an exquisite, visibly brilliant, lead-free, dishwasher friendly, set of six crystal wine glasses and the Aerlumer technology present in the glassware encourages micro-oxidation and softens the wine, while swirling. The collection features Desire Rich White, Desire Crisp White, Desire Robust Red, Desire Elegant Red, Desire Sparkling and Desire Universal.

Talking about the Desire collection and his association with Lucaris, Singh said “Good wines in good glasses, that’s how I like things to be, simple and coherent. Enjoyment of wines goes beyond the palate and elegant stemware plays a big part in enhancing our experience.”
