Mahou India enters Bengaluru – with its New Wheat Beer and premium portfolio

Bengaluru, 13 December 2018: Mahou India, the first subsidiary of Spanish brewing major, Mahou Group to be established outside Spain, has entered in the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru. The entry marks the launch of the premium portfolio which includes new Mahou Maestra Wheat in the wheat category & Mahou 5 Star and Mahou Clásica in the lager category.

Mahou Maestra Wheat, a recent one in our portfolio (and first Spanish Wheat beer to be produced in India), is the new and genuine interpretation of wheat beer by Mahou. It has been created especially for the Indian market that maintains the rich personality, flavor, and taste of Mahou that dates back to 1890. This is also the first wheat beer in India that comes with a pull-off cap in its pint bottle, as part of its premium packaging.

Mahou Maestra Wheat

Mahou Maestra Wheat is a Belgian style wheat beer that comes with a golden colour and thick and creamy foam. Its principal character is a fruity aroma and a slight hint of hops along with a refreshing feeling and a touch of sweetness that creates a well-balanced sensation in the palate.

Its tangy hints of Sevillian (Spanish) orange peel and the herbal spicy notes of the organic coriander from the Himalayas, make it delectable and easy to drink. The signature recipe of Mahou Group – the yeast – further adds the uniqueness to its taste.

It goes well with a variety of authentic tapas of Spain like patatas bravas, olives, and croquettes or even with local tapas such as Tandoori, salty snacks, paneer tikka, etc.

Both Spanish and Indian tapas are an awesome combination with the orange aroma and the spicy hints of coriander. It is available in 330 ml bottles (pints) as well as in 500 ml cans.

Mahou Clásica

Mahou Clásica is a premium lager that comes with a tinge of fruity flavours. It has bright golden colour with a crystalline aspect and a faint, elegant malt aroma. It maintains the original recipe, taste and quality given to its production since 1890 in the lands of Spain giving a refreshing drinking experience. It is a scrumptious, refreshing drink with a well-integrated bitter finish and very light balsamic hints, brewed for those who believe in the classic taste of a smooth, easy to drink beer.

Mahou 5 Star

Mahou 5 Star is a flagship product produced with the finest varieties of hops and yeast that stands out for its golden colour and distinctively mild and lingering taste. It is a well-balanced beer which is made with signature yeast, whose secret recipe is stored under high security in the beer’s originating country, Spain. Mahou 5 Star has been created to satisfy the most discerning palates and aims to provide 5 star experiences to the consumers. It is marked by notes of toasted barley and memories of starch and is known for its way of serving and the thick cream that envelops the glass when poured.
