Mr.Ronald Colaco, Founder of Clarks Exotica honoured with Rajyotsava Award for philanthropic work

Mr. Ronald Colaco, noted philanthropist, entrepreneur and founder of Clarks Exotica, was among the eminent people awarded the prestigious Rajyotsava Award for 2017 by the Karnataka government.

The award was in recognition of Mr. Colaco’s philanthropic work in Karnataka. Though he is currently based in UAE, Mr. Colaco has supported building several schools, temples, churches, and also supports the children of police personnel among other things. He was awarded under the NRI / Outer State Achievers category of the Rajyotsava Award.

The Rajyotsava Award adds yet another feather to his cap, which already features several honours including being among select Indians to have been invited to breakfast with U.S. President Donald Trump.

“My social or charitable work is purely from my sense of responsibility towards the society that I am born in. It is about contributing to the society I live in and have enriched me with great values. While I do not seek awards, it is always inspiring to find recognition and appreciation for the work that we do, from an award or people. I accept this award humbly and with my deepest gratitude,” Mr. Colaco said on the award.
