New steps are taken for Maharashtra Tourism

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation is all set to attract more tourists to their state. They are upgrading the tourists and the up-gradation is being done keeping in mind the facilities which are needed for the domestic and foreign tourists. 

Abhimanyu Kale, the Managing Director of MTDC gave a statement that besides upgrading the facilities, four new resorts would also be set up in different parts of the state by December 2020. MTDC officials believe that this step will boost tourism since the tourists will enjoy their stay with more facilities. 

As of now, MTDC has 23 resorts under them and they have leased 51 resorts to private players out of which 22 resorts have a lease life of 30 years and remaining 29 are on a lease for 10 years. As informed by the director, the new locations for the resorts would be Chandpur, Tillari, Navegaon Bandh and Gangapur Dam. He also maintained that they are hoping that these new projects will be completed by December 2020.
