Purple tea from Assam for Vibrant Gujarat 2019 delegates

Purple tea made its debut in Guwahati tea auction Centre (GTAC).

Tea produced by Donyi Polo Tea Estate of Arunachal Pradesh was sold by Contemporary Tea Brokers Pvt. Ltd at a whopping price in GTAC.

A lot of 1.2 kilograms was sold to Dugar Consumer Products Pvt Ltd Guwahati at a record price of Rs 24,501.

Rishabh Dugar, Director of Dugar Consumer Product Pvt Ltd said, “half of teas purchased are meant for our outlet Te.Cha – tea boutique in Ahmedabad and remaining will be gifted to the delegates of the event “Vibrant Gujarat 2019”.

Secretary Guwahati Tea Auction Buyers Association, Dinesh Bihani said, “We are very much proud that a new tea that was discovered recently by the African countries is now produced in India and selling at record price. Guwahati Tea Auction center is selling various types of specialty teas such as golden tips, silver needles, and others and now we have also added purple tea into our basket.”
