Bengaluru, November 2020 – Starting November 21, Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru’s Indian restaurant, Ssaffron, will welcome guests for a nine-day ‘Sarhad’ culinary pop-up showcasing flavourful and authentic delicacies from the borders of India.
Curated by Chef Gagandeep Singh Sawhney, the special menu will feature ancestral recipes that have been passed down to him by his grandmother from a bygone era. Prepared with the same love and attention that Chef Sawhney’s grandmother cooked with years ago, the rich, robust and rustic dishes are perfect to be enjoyed with loved ones during nippy evenings. Mildly spicy, lightly marinated, slow-cooked or grilled on tandoor, these delicacies features succulent meat, root vegetables and flavourful greens.
The Sarhad seasonal menu will introduce diners to Indian delicacies including Waris Ki Nihari, Charga, Sarson Ka Saag, Tawa Boti, Magaz Masala, Nadru Kebab, Mutton Champ, Miyaji ki Daal, Khamiri Roti, Kabuli Pulav, and more.
