Sheraton Grand Palace Indore opens as a new Gathering Place for locals and Travelers


Transformed from a historic palace, this new hotel features modern rooms and innovative dining venues for celebrating all occasions

Indore, 23 December 2019 – The Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand in debuts in Indore, Madhya Pradesh with the opening of the Sheraton Grand Palace Indore. This hotel is the latest addition to the portfolio of Sheraton hotels that are globally recognized as gathering places for local communities to celebrate everyday occasions. Backed by more than 80 years of history, the brand presently has a footprint in more than 70 countries worldwide – making it Marriott International’s most global brand. Formerly known as the Grand Bhagwati Palace, the heritage building has been transformed into the Sheraton Grand Palace Indore although it retains its exquisite Graeco- Roman architectural property spread across 8.62 acres of land. A key design component is the incorporation of green spaces and outdoor areas that draws celebrations for all occasions.

The hotel features 115 spacious guest rooms that convey a streamlined, modern style with teak wood flooring accented by stylish soft furnishings, and Sheraton signature amenities and services, including a premium slumber experience. Guests with access to the Sheraton Club Lounge can also find a spot to unwind in comfort, while enjoying the privilege of lounge check-in and daily breakfast as well as snacks around-the-clock.

Drawing on their expertise in bringing people together, the Sheraton Grand Indore will see a part of their grand lobby transform to accommodate a community table set-up, combined with the latest technology that will lend a unique coworking vibe to space. Equipped with charging stations and an easy, fuss-free menu, this redesigned space will allow guests to work solo or in groups.  Cozy, functional studio spaces will make for ideal work-spaces to host small meetings and discussions, overseen by a designated Community Manager who will ensure service and assistance is free-flowing and prompt.

The hotel features five distinctive dining options including S Café – the all-day dining restaurant offering a selection of freshly prepared local delicacies and international cuisines, complimented with an indulgent dessert spread. Indian specialty restaurant Araana does not disappoint with its rich and diverse menu offering signatures dishes such as Araana-E-Khass, saffron-scented cottage cheese cooked in fresh tomato and cream, served on a bed of spiced paneer; and Dal Araana, a local delicacy, made with lentils that are cooked overnight on a wood-fired oven, imbibing a smoky goodness,  tempered with fresh spices and hand-churned butter that’s served with creative pizzazz. Malt is the in-house bar that holds a vintage charm with its rustic setting and plush seating, serving an exclusive range of premium spirits, single malts and fine wines. Infuse the cake shop is ideal for guests to indulge in an array of freshly baked breads, cakes and sweet treats. The serene poolside restaurant Plunge offers an oasis of calm for guests to sit back and request their favorite beverage and finger foods. In addition to the pool, there is also a fully equipped, 24-hour Fitness Centre and spa to keep guests active and relaxed at the hotel.
