About the Documentary:

How much difference can music make?

#SingYourHeartOut is a bittersweet documentary musical about an unusual choir in Hackney – it is a choir for people dealing with depression. Their stories and issues are diverse, but it is one reason that brings them together: they want to improve their mental health with the power of music. Their energetic jazz-singer leader is trying to put together a performance before he moves back to New York.
