Swiggy order analysis shows rise in demand for chocolate based dishes

Data from Swiggy has revealed that Aundh, Baner, Dhankawadi, Kharadi, and Kothrud in that order made the highest dessert orders in Pune through the food ordering app in the last six months.

Data revealed Pune orders more chocolate items on weekdays than weekends as against the trend of ordering more chocolate items on weekends than weekdays in other parts of the country.

Chocolate was found around 467 years ago and has gone on to become one of the most-loved flavors ever-since. July 7 is celebrated as a day when chocoholics of the nation indulge in some lip-smacking delicacies made with chocolate, however, Swiggy sources said that India’s tryst with chocolate is an all-year-round affair.

Swiggy recently unraveled some interesting nibbles of information with its order analysis: this year, waffles were a strong pull amongst the Indian chocoholics, with this European delicacy entering the top three ordered dishes in Indian. Indians tend to order both chocolates and desserts more on weekends than weekdays.

Chocolate dishes are most preferred from 9 PM to 10 PM, however, some Indians order for chocolate dishes as early as half past six in the morning. Around 40 percent of the orders for chocolate is seen during dinner time highlighting how Indians need chocolate in their meetha fix post meals.

Chocolate shake continues to be a popular choice amongst Indians, with the delightful beverage being the second most ordered chocolate dish. Chocolate Brownie Shake, Chocolate Oreo Shake and Chocolate Malt Shake are some other favorites
