AnnaMaya Delhi celebrates ‘Cook Heroes’ in collaboration with Gurgaon Food bank

To support the Zero Hunger mission for World Food Day 2018, AnnaMaya partnered with Delhi NCR Food Bank – an initiative of Responsenet to celebrate and honour the “Cook Heroes” – the humble agents who prepare healthy and delicious meals for those in need, every day.

The passionate chefs at AnnaMaya shared tips and tricks on how to create healthy recipes everyday using the best of locally sourced ingredients. This enlightening session was followed by a hearty lunch cooked by the AnnaMaya team for the Cook heroe. This unique celebration brought together over 35 Cooks from various feeding centers who shared their stories and anecdotes on the immense satisfaction and meaningful living that they derive by lovingly feeding the kids.

The foodbank is fighting Hunger across India, feeding more than 15000 children everyday across 65 feeding centers with the support of many Food Heroes. World Food Day, celebrated on October 16 annually is about food, action around hunger issues, creating awareness of the hunger problem, working towards innovative approaches to tackle world hunger for those affected by hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all.
