TGL Co.’s Temple of Heaven Tea wins a bronze medal at the Global Tea Championships 2019

7th November 2019: The Global Tea Championship is the only professional and independent competition that distinguishes the highest quality and best-tasting teas commercially available in the world.

Judged by tea professionals to distinguish the highest quality & best-tasting teas commercially available, they have awarded The Good Life Company’s (TGL Co.) signature Temple of Heaven Tea the bronze medal in the Gunpowder category at the Global Tea Spring Hot Loose Team Championship held in September at Boulder, Colorado, USA this year.

The event judges cup hundreds of teas blind and score the teas based on the analysis of dry leaf; liquor colour, aroma, flavour, and mouthfeel, as well as overall harmony. The ratings of each characteristic were then used to calculate an overall numerical value on a 100-point scale, and the winners were determined by rank. The Temple of Heaven Tea by TGL Co. was judged as a balanced and distinct tea in its category.

Gunpowder tea is a form of Chinese tea in which each leaf has been rolled into a small round pellet. Its English name comes from its resemblance to grains of gunpowder.
