The Fairmont Jaipur, India’s Luxe Behemoth Appoints Rajiv Kapoor as their new General Manager
Jaipur, 11th June 2019: Fairmont Jaipur, which has become a benchmark of luxury hospitality in the country, coupled with its palatial design and exquisite service, has announced the appointment of its new General Manager, Rajiv Kapoor who will helm the operations of the flagship property of Fairmont in the Pink City. Rajiv comes with a varied range of experience and an innate understanding of the hospitality and luxe segment, nationally and in global markets. He will be tasked with creating a new vision for the hotel and setting a direction to capture a wide range of the market from luxury travelers to the free independent travelers, MICE events to grandiose Indian wedding celebrations. He aspires to continue upholding the Brand Promise of turning Moments in to Memories for the guests.
Rajiv has always been a visionary who has set a new benchmark at each stage of his career. Being an avid participator in the various aspects of hotel operations and services, he has been actively involved in the management of some of the sought after destination properties & repositioned them amidst the hospitality stalwarts internationally. His reputation precedes him and he is renowned for creating experiences that transform hospitality in to a celebration for guests.
Rajiv is a firm believer in that luxe hospitality standards cannot substitute for the humane touch. For him, the details matter and understanding the psychology of guests is paramount. In synergy with this, Rajiv plans to create several new innovative product offerings at Fairmont Jaipur in the coming days. He is also cognizant of the growing families and couples market and plans to put in place exciting promotions to attract a whole new customer base from the big cities of India and the international NRI market.
For most, 19 years of experience would be sufficient, but when you meet Rajiv, you get the same hunger and feeling of someone wanting to make a difference to the industry, seeking new avenues, collaborating and finding solutions to operational details. Rajiv zealously believes in his pure passion for connecting with people and considers team members to be his primary strength. He adds, “For me, my colleagues are the true pillars of hospitality, responsible for the humane touch to intangible services that cannot be replicated. Rajiv began his career as an Operational Trainee at Grand Hyatt and subsequently climbed the ladder with various renowned hospitality brands such as The Westin Sohna Gurgaon Resort and Spa, Le Meridien Mumbai, Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers, Indonesia. Prior to joining Fairmont Jaipur, he was the General Manager of The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa and also Langkawi International Convention Center (LICC); giving him an international perspective on several issues.
Rajiv is a fitness enthusiast who takes pleasure in swimming and playing cricket. Further, he is an avid traveler who loves to experience and explore the distinct tourist attractions of the world. A doting father and caring husband, he is a devout family man who always looks forward to spending quality time with his wife Nupur and two daughters – Saisha & Zayah.
