The Piano Man brings 5th edition of Giants of jazz to Delhi and Gurugram

28^th November, 2019, Delhi NCR – Giants of jazz celebrates the best of international and Indian musicians and their love for jazz. The festival brings together live performances from incredible artists in celebration of music that is democratic, inclusive, powerfully emotional, and that speaks to people of all races and nationalities. This festival by The Piano Man recognizes both group and individualistic expressions of jazz. Each day is a unique experience in itself. The line-up explores the century of tradition of jazz and traces its evolution through the ages and its effects on a variety of genres of music.

The fifth edition of Giants of Jazz 2019 promises a roster of artists that will leave you gripping the edge of your seats.

Art for the sake of art, this lineup focuses on artists that have spent years and decades writing, performing and sharing their spectacular music with us. Allow yourself to be absorbed into the fantastic aural landscapes and journeys that each performance will take you on, and experience the joy that only the purity of art can bring.

Expressing his thoughts on the festival, Arjun Sagar Gupta, Founder and Owner, The Piano Man, said, “Giants of Jazz, Vol. V is possibly one of the most incredible calendars we have had the honour of building. We have artists coming from all over the world including Grammy winner from Brazil, Ivan Santos – a band playing since 1986; The Shuffling Demons from Canada and many more. We have had the opportunity to listen to these artists in the last couple of months and are extremely excited to bring them to Delhi”.

One of our proudest new additions this year is the parallel run of the festival in our stunning new venue in Gurugram, The Piano Man, Gurugram. Each performance (The Piano Man Jazz Club, Safdarjung and The Piano Man, Gurugram) brings a different sensation and experience, with the former space focused on intimacy and interaction and the latter space designed to bring a large concert experience to your doorstep. Come share your love for music with us!

Giants of jazz has been successful in attracting a footfall of over 1200 last year in Delhi, featuring a live performance every single evening with more than 8 international artists from over 11 countries. Over the years, The Piano Man has witnessed lively performances by artists from Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, UK, USA, Spain, France, Brazil, Italy, Norway amongst others.

This year around, with Giants of Jazz taking place in Delhi and Gurugram, the stage is set to welcome twice the spirit of celebration. We invite you to become a part of this living, breathing venture where fans of all types rub shoulders with connoisseurs of jazz in a form that is unadulterated and one of its kind. This November, expect to be synonymous with sound like never before- this winter, expect nothing but the very best!
