The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat hosts a ceremonial evening for the launch of ‘Calcutta Gourmet Club’

Kolkata, 6th December’21 -The first-ever Calcutta Gourmet Club is all set to entice the food connoisseurs in the City Of Joy. This club is the brainchild of Dr. Suborno Bose, founder of IIHM. The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat and The House of Johnnie Walker were delighted to host the ceremonial evening for the launch of the ‘Calcutta Gourmet Club’. The evening was hosted by Dr. Suborno Bose, the founder of IIHM Kolkata and Diageo Brand Ambassador Mr. Shantanu Sengupta on 26th November, 2021 at the highest rooftop lounge of the city- 32 The Helipad Lounge giving a panoramic view.

The idea behind the club is to connect the food epicureans who are always well versed with the food trends and are keen to learn about the global cuisines and their history. The Calcutta Gourmet Club will bring to Kolkata the culinary experts from across the world and the country where the chefs would curate the best of cuisines for the exclusive 25 members of the Calcutta Gourmet Club.

The property organized a gastronomical commemoration for the patrons as renowned culinary experts, Chef Vivek Kalia- Executive Chef of The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat and Chef Clement- Former Executive Chef Hyatt Regency Kolkata and got together to toss up a lavish 5-course spread which complimented and paired up perfectly with the signature alcoholic beverages. The menu also boasted an array of signature items by Chef Gaurav Verma and sinful liquor-infused desserts mindfully crafted by Chef Prasenjit Jana of The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat.
