She owns Soho Wine Club and Sonal Holland Wine Academy. She was awarded the ‘Wine Personality of the Year’ by FBAI. Sonal is determined to increase the wine-lovers in the land of whiskey-lovers.

She gives a few tips for the beginners on how to taste and choose your wine.

Fill only one-third of your glass with wine leaving rest of the glass empty for the wine to swirl.
Hold the wine glass with the stem or the base whichever you find comfortable and cool.
If the wine is too cold, use the heat of your palms and cup the glass.

Swirl the wine in your glass and swish it in your palate. It helps the flavors of the wine to open up.

Conclude on the quality of the wine on the basis of : 

1. How long the flavours of the wine lasts in your palate.

2. How concentrated the flavours feel in your mouth.

3. How harmonious the wine tastes.
