Vegan Gastronomy at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences with Chef Sébastien Kardinal

Recognized French Chef Sébastien Kardinal, known for creating magic with vegan cuisine, visited select Novotel properties in India to showcase unique gastronomical skills. During his India tour, Chef Kardinal hosted various experiences from 26th November to 3rd December at Novotel properties in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata and New Delhi. Celebrating the 20 Novotel properties in India, Chef Kardinal’s visit was part of the experiences and campaigns planned for the brand. Recently, an exclusive French Vegan Master Class was conducted by Chef Sebastien Kardinal at Novotel Kolkata & Residences along with Vegan Dinner.

With Chef Kardinal’s expertise, our in-house chef’s, as well as our guests learned much more about vegan food and how it has revolutionized the gastronomical space. Specializing in French and gastronomical specialties, Chef Kardinal loves creating vegan versions of the popular dishes and Plus Que Parfait along with Business France had helped us organize chef’s visit to showcase French vegan cuisine.

From tasty Basquaise and Shepherd’s pie to Blanquette old and stuffed tomatoes, the Master Class at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences was followed by a sumptuous vegan dinner that was specially curated by Chef Kardinal.

The spectacular gourmet experience was enjoyed by Fashion Designer Ms. Agnimitra Paul, Consul General of France Ms. Virginie Corteval, Director of Alliance française Mr. Fabrice Plancon, the honorary consul of Norway, Ms. Nayantara Palchoudhuri, Deputy Consul General of Germany Mr. Jurgen Thomas Schrod and Mrs. Iris Schrod, Actress Ms. Ritabhari Chakraborty and Vegan Community of Kolkata where they were able to learn the secrets of vegan cooking during a live demonstration and taste the same preparation in the buffet along with a Bengali vegan buffet spread that included Beetroot Cutlet, Postor Bora, Begun Bhaja, Musur Dal, Mochar Ghonto, Pui Sager Chorchori, Tofur Paturi, Luchi, Gurer Payesh etc..
