New Delhi, 16 January 2018: The first edition of India’s most awaited food and entertainment carnival, Zomaland, will be held in the capital city on this weekend (Jan 18th, 19th & 20th) at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.

With food for every palate, music for all ears, and games for all ages, Zomaland will be an enjoyable experience for everyone. It will bring together some of the top-rated eateries from across the country, a stellar line-up of music artists, India’s top comedians, stunning attractions, fascinating photo booths, vibrant food parades, a giant Ferris wheel and enthralling street performances. Speaking about the carnival, Gaurav Gupta, COO, Zomato, said, “Zomaland celebrates the food industry that works tirelessly to make every meal a good one. It is our attempt to bring the best restaurants in the city together – a physical manifestation of much loved Zomato Collections – so that our users can taste and try food that is unique and delicious. The team has been pulling out all the stops to make Zomaland truly the grandest carnival and we can’t wait to share it with all our users.”

Zomaland will have an incredible line-up of entertainment with 2 stages – Zomato Live Arena and Theatre Bizarre – hosting performances by some of the biggest artists in the industry including the legendary singer Lucky Ali, ’Angel Eyes’ hit-maker Raghav, Ritviz of ‘Udd Gaye’ fame, popular indie-band When Chai Met Toast, the incredible Dualist Inquiry bringing his new band-ensemble, comedians like Rohan Joshi, Gaurav Kapoor and Varun Thakur, magician and illusionist Karan Singh and wait for it.. the artist behind yesteryear hits ‘Aicha’ and ‘Walou’, for the first time in India – Outlandish.

Expressing gratitude on the initial response on Zomaland, Chaitanya Mathur, Global Head, Zomato Live, said, “Zomaland, for us, is a 2019 version of a traditional carnival that we all grew up enjoying. We analysed a decade worth of data to understand user preferences, build convenience and accessibility and enhance the user experience. It will be the first entertainment carnival with back to back music and theatre performances, cuisine based food zones, and larger than life attractions, across all 3 days. It will have an exclusive parking area for the attendees, special buggy rides for the elderly and disabled, and a dedicated zone for kids as well. We received an incredible response to the early bird tickets- more than 500,000 users pre-registered in less than 24 hours – so much so that we extended tickets for ALL users at a super-economical price.”

Zomaland will witness some of Delhi’s favourite eateries under one roof designed in 7 curated zones. A zone will be dedicated to the Flavours of India with restaurants like Biryani By Kilo, Nukkadwala, Amma Haus, Sassy Begum, Roomali Garh and Indian Republic Canteen by Veda. The Oriental Trail will include Set’z, Guppy, Ping’s Cafe Orient, Enoki, Wanchai by Kylin, Namaste Asia and Wok to Walk, while the American Avenue will include eateries like La Pino’z Pizza, Smokey’s BBQ & Grill, Fat Lulus, NYC.
